Deleted many files, Dropbox still full

Deleted many files, Dropbox still full

I have a free Dropbox account with 2 GB. I use it to sync files between two computers. Today I got a notice that my Dropbox is full. I went to my account online using a web browser and deleted 700 files totaling 1.4 GB.  Yet it still says Dropbox is full. What am I missing?

If you deleted 1.4gb of files but you were actually 1.5gb over quota you'd still be full. The amount deleted is almost immaterial really.

www.dropbox.com/quota will show you how much over you are. Also, dont forget that shared folders use your quota as well.

Oh dang, sorry, I actually only deleted 1.4 MB, not 1.4 GB.  I now see the big files I have to delete. Thanks!
