Deleting photos from timeline

Hello. I'm trying to delete multiple photos. They're in many different folders, so the photos timeline is a convenient way to see them altogether.

However, in order to actually delete them, I have to click each image, one at a time, go into the folder, then delete from there. In just about any photo viewer application I can think of, you just select the images you want and then hit 'delete'. But this doesn't seem to be case.

Please tell me I'm missing something and that there's a way to conveniently delete photos via the timeline interface.

You're not missing anything. There's no way to delete photos from the Photos page.
