Don't want Mobile Uploads folder permanently. How to?

Don't want Mobile Uploads folder permanently. How to?

Explorer | Level 3

We use Dropbox for church to enable presentations to be uploaded from home and available in the church PCs, ready for presentation. We'd only just started this initiative and today, I found a Mobile Uploads folder had appeared in our Dropbox. I'd checked and no one has the ID and password to connect to it other than myself. So far only 2 folders had been shared and these were done the usual way via email invite to the folder.

My question is, if the people who receive the email and click on the link from their smartphone, and they end up installing Dropbox onto their smartphone, will their phone's pictures then appear in a Mobile Uploads folder within Dropbox? Even though they're NOT the owners of the Dropbox and are only invited to share a specific folder?

If yes to the above question, how can I permanently NOT have a Mobile Uploads folder get automatically created each time someone else new joins a shared folder?

That means its a Dropbox default folder. Wonder if translations have changed the wording slightly.

You should be able to delete it at www.dropbox.com/home.

There is no way to turn it off, however.

The people who have joined the share can only see things inside that shared folder, nowhere else. So, the Mobile Uploads folder is being added from one of your devices.

Does it have a purple ish look to it?

None of my devices have dropbox linked to that account. And the pictures that appeared in the Mobile Uploads folder were definitely not mine. Unfortunately, they were pics of a car in an accident and did not give any clues as to whose mobile device it is. I'd asked around to the few people who I'd shared folders to and none recognise the photos. Hence this is a mystery yet to be solved.

But, to prevent future such incidents (since we don't want unsuitable photos suddenly popping up in the PCs in church, I'd like to know if there's any way at all that the Mobile Uploads feature can be permanently disabled.

That folder is not a Dropbox folder. Dropbox uses 'Camera Upload's hence me asking if on the website it was a different design/colour to the rest. Unfortunately if it is a rebrand of 'Camera Uploads' no, you cant stop it appearing.

However, the only person who has access to that folder is you - because it isnt inside

Ahh I see. Yes. It was purplish-blue in color. What does that mean?

And again, I confirm that none of my devices are connected on that Dropbox account. All my devices are linked to my personal Dropbox for picture sharing etc.
