Hi

You can move (cut and paste) the files from your Dropbox desktop app to another folder on your local computer (outside of the Dropbox folder).

Once done, and the sync completed, the files will be removed from your Dropbox account.

Then view the steps here to cancel your account: https://help.dropbox.com/accounts-billing/create-delete/delete-account

You can then uninstall the desktop app from your computer/devices.

Regards

Casper

To completely download your data from Dropbox and then delete your account, you can follow these steps:

Step 1: Download data from Dropbox play wordle
1. Sign in to your Dropbox account on a web browser.
2. Visit the [Dropbox Files](https://www.dropbox.com/home) page to view and manage all your files and folders.
3. Download all your data by selecting the file or folder, then select the "Download" or "Download as ZIP" option (if you want to compress into a ZIP file) from the menu.

Step 2: Delete your Dropbox account
1. Sign in to your Dropbox account.
2. Access the [Close your account](https://www.dropbox.com/account/delete) page on your web browser.
3. Dropbox will ask you to confirm your decision to delete your account. This is an important decision, please ensure you understand that all your data and account will be irreversibly deleted once you proceed.
4. Follow the instructions to complete deletion of your account. Dropbox may require you to enter your password or perform additional verification to ensure security.

Note that you need to store all data securely before deleting your Dropbox account, as deleting the account will result in complete loss of data that cannot be recovered. If you encounter any difficulties or questions, you can also contact Dropbox support for further assistance.
