Drag and drop of file folders into Dropbox app not working

Drag and drop of file folders into Dropbox app not working

Kafro

I have tried to drag and drop folders from my desktop into Dropbox app but it doesn't work. It re-creates the folder lacking all of the files. Then I have to go back and drag and drop each file individually which is an extreme waste of time.

Alternatively, when I try to upload via Dropbox.com, the upload time is ridiculous (over 1 hour for a folder of ~2GB). Yes, I have changed bandwidth settings for upload to not limit but it didn't help upload time.

Is there any way to upload multiple files to Dropbox app?

I'm on Macbook Air 2015, OSX 10.14.16

Hi @Kafro, thanks for messaging today!

If you move folders into the Dropbox folder, then your OS should copy the files within the folder correctly.

Once fully copied into the Dropbox folder, the app should sync the files to the site. If the files in the folders aren't being copied in the folder, then it might be related to the OS.

Does it occur for any folder you're copying into the Dropbox folder?

Regarding the speed, there is a possibility that a proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router issues could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains.

Keep me updated with any progress!
