I have had enough of dropbox. I want it gone. I have much better ways to have storage without this much frustration. Please can someone tell me how to move everything off of dropbox and get their hands off my stuff.
Hi there @GraveWalker, thanks for reaching out to us and sorry to hear about your frustration.
If you have the desktop app installed, you can move all your files from your Dropbox folder to any other location on your hard drive.
However, if you are having trouble with your Dropbox account or any of our apps, I'm more than happy to help from here.
Any information on what the issue is and screenshots illustrating it would be super helpful.
Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. The problem I'm having now is either the size of the files or the authority. I have tried to move files and or folders out but it seems dropbox has its hooks in everything and does not allow me and I get an error message. Long story short. I am going to just dump it and use the google backup for the pictures it has saved and change it to save my videos and never ever use dropbox again. My husband and I both agree it is not the product it uses to be and it is way overpriced for the aggravation and way too aggressive with your data now that it's all lost.
There is an issue when trying to move the file to my external drive, basically saying I don't have permission to my own files. I have yet to be able to move large amounts of files to an external drive. I was able to save 6 files to a thumb drive. At that rate, I'll be dead before I finish.
