Dropbox Business Advanced - will there be throttling?

Dropbox Business Advanced - will there be throttling?

New member | Level 2

I've seen plenty of posts here asking about the storage space, so I know about the 3 user minimum and having to gradually step up capacity with customer support starting from 3TB.

But I haven't see anyone ask about download/upload throttling. A few competitors with "Unlimited" storage throttle uploads to a few kb per minute once you hit a certain threshold (~10TB?), which makes them not truly Unlimited.

Will this be the case with Dropbox? Is there ANY storage threshold above which transfer speeds will be shaped/controlled/throttled in any form?

Hi @afterthought

Dropbox itself doesnt throttle on any account plan. However, many ISP's do.

The other thing is that things can be slow sometimes initially at least due to overheads on creating small files. Once you are syncing large ones things speed up dramatically.
