Dropbox Only still downloading files to disk

I have a client using Dropbox Plus. On one of her computers the Dropbox Desktop app keeps downloading all of her files to the hard drive. I have gone so far as to unlink her account, completedly delete her dropbox folder (and all of its contents), then re-link her dropbox account to the desktop app, and selected "online only." Despite that, the app is STILL downloading the entire contents of the dropbox to her drive. This is not occurring on her other machines.

I understand that third-party apps can have an effect on this... does anyone know if Kaspersky Total Security could be forcing the download? Or the Adobe Creative Suite, or Microsoft Office 365?

Any suggestions of how to fix are greatly appreciated.

ANY application that touches the files will cause them to download. If the operating system or any other application tries to access a file, Dropbox has to download it back to the computer. This could be from you trying to open a file, a program trying to generate thumbnails or previews, file backups and antivirus or malware scans.
