I just got a new iMac. It has 32gb of ram. The only thing on it right now is dropbox. I synced all of my files and it has read "up to date" for about two days. However, it is basically constantly using 100% or more of my CPU. Nothing is being uploaded or used by dropbox. No other programs even open. The only way to stop it is to quit dropbox.
I have use the find ~/Dropbox -type l -exec ls -lah {} \; terminal command to check for symlinks and there arent any
I have never had this issue on any other computer. I need to use dropbox for work and I am unable to run basically anything else on a maxed out iMac because of Dropbox. It's so frustrating.
What is going on here? I can't get a hold of dropbox to help.
Appreciate any help.

Yes, my first step was to go through that article. Nothing worked.
Could you try following Daphne's steps to correct the hardlinks and permissions within the Dropbox folder, in case that does the trick?
