Dropbox auto-stole everything on my Mac

Dropbox auto-stole everything on my Mac

New member | Level 2

This ridiculous new Dropbox backup "feature" auto-synced everything on my computer. I don't want any of this stuff on Dropbox. The problem is if I delete it from Dropbox, it also gets delted from my computer.

I successfully detached my device from Dropbox and canceled the sync. So that's good.

But now I still can't figure out how to remove the things that already synced from my Dropbox without also deleting them from my Mac.

Please help..

Hey @csw2, thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about your frustration.

If you've already turned computer backup off, have you tried moving the files back to their original locations?

Let me know how it goes, cheers!
