Dropbox filling harddrive - Mac

New member | Level 2

Hey all,

I have Dropbox Plus for work. I had to download around 10GB of files over the weekend and when I was finished I reset them to online-only again, however, the memory usage is still there. I have everything in the files to online-only, I've set it so that the files have zero logical size on Mac and this is the first time I've experienced an issue like this.

As you can see the dropbox file says it's taking up 9.63GB but the files in the folder only take up 3MB because they're all set to online only.

Thanks for any help!

Hey @LDMcc16; thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to our Community!

Can you please let me know if the app in your menu bar is showing 'Up to date' or if it's still syncing?

In case it's finished syncing and you still notice this, the space might be taken up by the cache folder on your computer.

Let me know what you find anyhow.
