I have two accounts for dropbox. And it seems like they use the same storage. One is private, the other one for a institution. Eventhough I checked only one folder with 24 MB storage the Dropbox tells me it is nearly full. Why is that the case?

Could you check if these accounts have two separate email addresses, or is this a purple folder and a team folder in the same account?
You can check your current quota on your account by visiting this page online, along with the breakdown between shared and private files.
