Dropbox grabbed my files when I loaded it and I don't know what to do now

New member | Level 2

I loaded Dropbox and it went out and grabbed all of my personal files. It now says it's full, and quit syncning. When I started to delete Dropbox, got a message that it would delete all my files. I haven't found any instructions, so at a loss what to do next. Using a Mac 10.14.6. Thoughts?

Re: Dropbox Grab

Dropboxer

Hi there @ketchjohnb, thanks for reaching out to us!

It sounds like you had computer backup turned on, which added folders (like Desktop, Downloads, and Documents) to your Dropbox folder.

In this case, to stop using it, the first step before anything else is to turn it off by following the steps mentioned in this article

Give it a go, and let me know how it goes. Cheers!
