Dropbox has deleted all my documents from my Laptop

Dropbox has deleted all my documents from my Laptop

I did try to install on my Laptop Dropbox. Setting it up, it asked my if I wanted to copy all docs to the cloud. I did accept but as being Basic, soon the account was filled up and no space.
Tried by all means to delete and make some space on Dropbox but i never managed to do it.
As per this problem I decided to delete the account and open a new one, to basically only allow Dropbox to store some documents I received by mail.
At this stage I realised my PC was completely deleted!!! “” I LOST EVERYTHING THANKS TO DROPBOX”””. This is a catastrophe for me as I had some very valuable documents.....IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN HELP???. I cannot even find the way to contact someone actually from DROPBOX.

Hi @Fabian Nielsen; thanks for joining our Community and sorry to hear about this.

 

It seems like you enabled the computer backup feature upon installing the desktop app on your laptop in the first place. 

 

I'm afraid that since you deleted the account itself we won't be able to help much in restoring those files from our end at this point. 

 

That being said, have you searched for the files in their original locations or perhaps in your device's recycle bin?
