Dropbox is full as files keep reappearing in Downloads. How do I stop syncing the Downloads folder?

 Good morning, I have a problem with my Dropbox, to free up space I have deleted the download folder and all its contents. The problem is that every time I go back to dropbox the download folder full of files reappears again, how can I permanently delete it? How do I cancel the synchronization of downloads? I don't want the programs I download to my PC to automatically end up on dropbox. thank you

You can disable the backup of the Downloads folder with the steps at the bottom of this article here.

Once you've done that, please try removing the content of the folder from Dropbox once more to check that the files don't reappear again.
