Dropbox keeps deleting a folder when it syncs

I have a folder in dropbox with two folders inside of it.  Whenever I add a third folder, the third folder is deleted with in seconds, when Dropbox syncs.  If I add the  third folder in Windows, it is deleted.  If I add the thrid folder in Dropbox on the web, it also gets deleted.  The deleted folder shows up on in Deleted Files in Dropbox on the web.  If I restore it, it just gets deleted again.

This does not happen anywhere else in my dropbox files.  For example, the two folders other folders (that don't get deleted) both have numerous subfolders.  I can add more subfolders to those without a problem.

The top level folder (currently with two folders in it) is set to synch locally.  The entire folder is check for selective sync (i.e. the entire folder should sync).

Thanks for sharing this experience with us @lw17

I am truly interested in investigating this. Dropbox cannot delete your files or folders without any action so we need to figure out what is going on.  

Please read this Community post that explains all the ways files can get deleted.

Let's start with check your events page. Let me know how this page reports the deletion of this folder.
