Dropbox recordings shared with others not available in full length of file

Hi everyone,

I am wondering why my shared video files on Dropbox are only viewable for the shared users for 15min instead of the entire lentgth of the file, usually 60min.
Anyone an idea why that is?
and if it is a setting issue, where and how to change that?

Thanks a lot

Best
Phil

Hi @icephil88, thanks for messaging today!

It sounds like you're on a Dropbox Basic plan, as 15 minutes is the limit for previewing audio and video via a shared link on the Dropbox site. If you're on a paid plan, you can preview for more time, as listed in this article.

However, if the users download the file to their machine, they'll be able to view the entire file, as only the previewing on the site is affected.

Hope this helps to clarify matters!
