Dropbox says full and I deleted everything over two weeks ago

Hi I read a similar issue and it mentioned that it may take time for the cloud to register that the files were deleted.  how much time?  Do I need to go into the Dropbox.com and see if these files are still not permanently deleted.  Any ideas appreciated. Thanks,

Deleted files do not use quota @Marylinn so that wont take space.

If you have deleted everything you should see nothing at www.dropbox.com/home is that correct?
