Dropbox set up on new desktop PC and with 250,000 files to index/copy it is now hanging on the last

Drop box is hanging not finishing copy / sync / index of the last 75,000 files

Why won't it finish i left it on for two days, the first part of the 250,000 files went fast now its stuck.

I stopped it, paused it, quit and restarted and still will not copy these files... i looked at the dates they range from supper old files to files created or saved in the last few days

Sorry to hear about that. Let’s check some things: 

- What operating system version is your new computer running? 

- What message is displayed in the syncing status (click on icon in taskbar)? 

- What version is our desktop app (hover mouse pointer over icon in taskbar)? If this is a Beta (denoted by a xx.3.xx, instead of the xx.4.xx for a stable version), turn Off Early Releases in the General tab of your online account settings, and then get our current stable release from here.
