Dropbox taking a lot of time to sync

Dropbox taking a lot of time to sync

New member | Level 2

I moved to a new place and connected my laptop to the internet after 2 days. Now the dropxbox icon in the tray is greyed out and it just has a blue icon with rotating at the bottom which says 'Starting'. Its been like this since 9.00am BST today and its almost 2.00pm BST. Not sure what the issue is. Can someone please help?

Hey there @Namrata Zaveri, thanks for reaching out to us here!

 

Could you let me know which version of the desktop app you have installed? You can see this by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your system tray.

 

Also, do you perhaps have a large amount of data in your Dropbox account that's trying to sync?

 

Let me know and we'll go from there!
