Dropbox uninstalled but when I save files, they don't land in the usual Documents file

I have uninstalled Dropbox but now everything is different :(.

When I save videos, they don't land in the usual Documents file, instead they land in another file.

It says C:\Users\Admin\Dropbox\Mein PC\Documents\MAGIX\Video deluxe Premium

instead of: C:\Users\Admin\Documents\MAGIX\Video deluxe Premium

Please somebody help me. Now I have two Dropbox files on my computer and on them are all my data copied (around 300 GB). It's such a confusion now. I want my old computer back.

Should I restore my computer to get everything back to normal?

Hi @Chris201, thanks for joining the Community!

It sounds like you enabled the automatic computer backup feature in the Dropbox desktop application. If the desktop app is still installed, since you mentioned you have two folders, could you first try disabling the computer backup from Dropbox using the steps in the above article to see if this helps?

Afterwards, you can move the folders and files back to their previous locations, which will also delete them from the Dropbox account online.

Keep me updated with any progress!
