Duplicate documents created when opening a file in Numbers app.

Duplicate documents created when opening a file in Numbers app.

So i have a dropbox app on my ipad wioth .numbers documents. Whenever i open the document in numbers, make changes, it saves again in the same folder duplicating the doument. If i open it 10 times via numbers app, make chnages, it saves a new one rasther than saving it in the original docuent. How do i fix this?

Just to clarify, does this happen only when you open the file directly within the Numbers app?

 

Or does this occur when opening the file initially from Dropbox too?

 

Also, is the duplicate saved within the Numbers app or back to the Dropbox app too?

the documents are saved in dropbox. I open them from the numbers app and work on it and than it saves multiple times in dropbox as well in the same folder the original is.

Fo example, I open the numbers app, i go to dropbox and open a file. I work on it and close it. It than saves aniother file in the same destin ation of the original in fropbox.

Can you let me know which versions of the apps (Dropbox and Numbers) you have installed on your device?

 

Also, what is the iOS version of your iPad?

 

This will just give me a better idea of your current setup.
