Eating up CPU, uploading 156mb files.

New member | Level 2

Hey guys,

I'm using a macbook pro i9 and dropbox is killing it.

It's really weird I run higher impact apps all the time but I only face this problem when dropbox is uploading something, it overheats and the fan goes crazy I can barely hear my thoughts.

of course it is eating up the cpu and the problem is only fixed when I force quit dropbox from my activity monitor.

I have my phone's camera uploads on so my dropbox is constantly syncing but they are just 150 mb photos? they aren't large files that take forever.

has anyone found a solution to this?

I know dropbox recommends finding third party apps which I don't get.

Please help it's driving me mad.
