Hello! I'm using Google Chrome for Windows to open a MS Excel file using "excel for web" via the dropbox.com page. When I click through to the "excel for web" option, a "dead" paper icon (reminds me of old-school Mac icon) appears, and the file doesn't open... This file opens normally on other computers at my business. Thanks in advance for help.

I confess that I was reluctant to clear browser cache (on Chrome browser for Mac), because that meant I'd have to login again for all my sites, but what do you know, that's what fixed my being able to open a file with Excel for the Web!
Thank you Walter, that helped me too!

I tried to clear the cache in Chrome but that didn't work. Also I tried in Microsoft Edge and it opened.
Thanks for the nudge here, @peter true legacy homes.
Are you also having issues opening Office files through our website?
If you cleared the cache in Chrome, but the issue wasn't resolved, this may be because of a security setting or a plugin that you have installed.
I would restore the browser to its default settings and disable any browser plugins, to see if it helps.
