Expiration and time limits

New member | Level 2

I understand that as business users we can set an expiration date for a shared folder or document, but what about a time? For example, what if we only want the folder to be available to our collaborator for 2 hours? Also, do you forsee Dropbox ever allowing a timed link? For example, we copy a link to a collaborator, but the sharing has a time limit that starts with accessing the shared link? Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hey @Pat R.4

While it’s true that you can set expiration dates on shared links, setting an actual time for the link to expire isn’t currently an option. It’s a great idea though, and I’m sending your suggestion to our team for review

In the meantime, I guess what you can do is to remove the link manually, when you no longer want anyone to have access.

Cheers!
