I have gotten a Failed - Network Error for downloads repeatedly on Dropbox.
I have tried downloading while logged into Dropbox.
I have tried downloading not logged into Dropbox.
I have cleared the cache and cookies.
I have tried 3 different browsers.
I have tried Incognito mode.
I have tried 3 different laptops on 2 different operating systems.
I checked my Internet download speed with my Internet provider.
Every time: Failed - Network Error.
I tried to delete some of my Dropbox files so I would have enough room to download the file to my own Dropbox. I get a Failed Network Error when trying to delete the files.
This is a Dropbox problem that numerous Dropbox users experience that Dropbox has NOT fixed or given a workaround that works.
Hey there @janweb, I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with this!
Just to have a some more info on this, can you let me know around how large the file/folder is that you're trying to download? Are you able to try downloading a smaller batch?
Since you mentioned also having this error when trying to delete files from your account, do you have any antivirus or firewall that could be interfering with these actions?
You may need to whitelist the Dropbox domains to help with the error that you're getting.
Looking forward to hearing back from you!

I am trying to download video files - which are large. But this means I can't break up the file into smaller chunks.
There isn't a firewall that would interfere - just Ethernet connection to the Internet.
I started having this problem in November. I finally gave up and had them send it another way. Now I need to download another video and I'm having the same problem. So the teacher of the class shared a Dropbox link. I've tried to download it from the link screen and then by putting it in my Dropbox account. Neither worked.
