Few of the files which are on my online dropbox are missing in 'Dropbox folder' in my desktop

Few of the dropbox files are not found in 'Dropbox Folder' in my desk, whereas those files i can access on 'dropbox.com'; my folder is update (with Green tick)

Thanks for posting in the Community @Ranjitha

You see the files online but not in your Dropbox desktop app. Let's fix that! 

  • Check if the names of the files/folders, include characters that might be preventing them from syncing. Here is a list of the characters to watch out for. If you find any, just rename the files and they will start syncing. 
  • We have to also check that the folders you see online are checked to be downloaded in your Selective Sync settings? To check that, go to "Preferences" and the "Sync" tab.

Hope it is one of the two mentioned is the root cause and you see your folders on your desktop soon. If not, give me a shout and I will give you next steps.

It is none of these.  All I did was change from paying montly to yearly and tons of my pictures within my files are gone. Almost every file is empty. Where is everything?????  And why can't I call someone to walk me through getting everything back?  This is ridiculous!
