File Explorer broke after installing the desktop app

I can't access the file folders in my computer since installing dropbox. I am very dissatisfied. My ability to do the simplest tasks has been severely adversely affected. Will deleting dropbox will allow me to use File Explorer in windows again, or has Dropbox permanently broken it.

Hi there @m180wood, let's see what we can do here. 

Before uninstalling the desktop app, could you just provide me with a bit more information on this issue?

For example, are you having trouble opening specific files?

Does our File Explorer hang when you try to navigate through your Dropbox folder?

If you're getting any error messages, send me a screenshot so that I have a better visual of it as well.
