Files, to be available locally

New member | Level 2
New member | Level 2

Hello,

I have a laptop installed with Dropbox, but with limited space. As a result, i configured Dropbox for selective update on this PC.

Unfortunately, some of the files under the root directory of Dropbox become unavailable. Those files should be available locally.

My configuration is defined as below:

Sync > Save Hard Drive space automatically = No

Make new files = Local

Anthing else should be configured, to allow those files to be avalilable immediately?

Regards,

Uriel

Hey @Uriel1, I hope you had a good weekend!

So from what you've mentioned, it seems that the files available under the main Dropbox folder are currently "Online only" with Smart Sync, right?

To make these files available locally, you'll need to select them all, right click them and choose "Smart Sync - Local".

You can also select the Dropbox folder itself and take the same steps to make sure that everything currently syncing to your Dropbox folder is available locally.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions!
