Finding files and super select sync

New member | Level 2

Hi I have two issues:

I am accessing on line archived folders. There is no search box on the typical search page

our marketing department uses in design. The files are huge. When I sync, I do not know how to selectively sync file types so they do not transfer. Files are saved in individual folders and I have 1,000 folders so it is not practical to selct indd files individually

Re: Finding files and super select sync

Hi there @Charlie9, thanks for reaching out to us! I'd be more than happy to help look into both of your concerns.

For your first question, it sounds like you're referring to archived team folders, is that right?

If you are, could you clarify where exactly you're looking for them? Are you going through the Files tab or the Admin console?

As for your second query, although you can't selectively sync individual files, you're able to selectively sync whole folders.

Also, selectively syncing them removes them from your hard drive on your computer, but they still sync to your account online and any other connected device that you have the desktop app and mobile app installed once you place them in the Dropbox folder.

For this reason, would you like to keep the files in your Dropbox folder without syncing to your account, or are you trying to achieve something different?

Keep me posted!
