Help Needed - Dropbox keeps syncing but no files to sync

Hi all, I need help.

My dropbox keeps on Syncing (Installed on a new mac 10 days back) But all files are up to date.

Then i check the activity log i see no pending syncs

Selective sync - all files are green

I have an error message that a syncing file is locked - when I try to locate the file it tells me the folder is deleted

Yet it keeps syncing.

Can anyone help me on what to do?

Hey @IslandgirlSC, thanks for using Dropbox and welcome aboard!

Could you please send me a screenshot of the exact error you're seeing in your menu bar?

Also, have you rebooted your computer at all recently?

Hi @IslandgirlSC, have you enabled the computer backup feature, since the Documents folder is a system folder?

Are other other apps or services accessing the Documents folder, preventing it moving to the Dropbox folder.

Computer Backup was enabled - I have disabled it, but no change 😞 

Since I have switched Hardware (that's when the problem started) I have also deinstalled Dropbox from my old Mac so nothing can interfere from the second (old) Mac.

Could you try rebooting the machine to see if this makes a difference in the Dropbox syncing?

Rebooted, de-installed, re installed, sign out, sign in, add documents, remove documents... everything. Still 2 strange files which are unknown.

Thanks for the info, I'd recommend getting in contact with the support team directly for further assistance.

Once you get a ticket ID from the automated response, please let me know the number here so I can locate it in our system!

But the response is not effective, maybe due to the nature of my issue. Don't know.

I was suggesting if I can set up a new account (new email id, etc.) and transfer my old content & package to the new account, then close the faulty one.

I can see there is a recent response by a support agent. I'd recommend replying to it as soon as possible for them to investigate further.
