Help Please, Drop Box for some reason seems to have uploaded every file on my computer

New member | Level 2

Hello,

I signed up for dropbox solely for a colleague to share some of their files (because they use dropbox). It seemed to be saving those files so I closed my computer with plans to come back later.  Now it seems it has uploaded all my files on dropbox, I certainly didn't want it to do that. I don't want any of my personal files there. How can I get it to stop, and is there an easy way to permennetly remove my files?

Dropboxer

Hello @Eyria, thanks for reaching out to us here!

You can disable the backup of your computer's Desktop, Downloads and Documents folders with the steps outlined towards the bottom of this article.

Once the feature is disabled, you can move the contents of these folders within the Dropbox folder back to their original locations.

Let me know how it goes!
