Dropbox files & folders

When you upload things to Dropbox it just moves the folder they are in, so, they should still be on your computer UNLESS you actively deleted them. Do a search for file names to see where they are.
A roll back may help but it could depend upon how your files are backed up.

Dear @Mark, thank you for your reply. I don't know what's happened. A couple of days ago some files were on dropbox, but today after a sincronization some of these disappeared. No files seem to have been deleted on dropbox (I checked in the deleted files). Do you know if I can restored a sort of "old image" of dropbox even if I have a Basic account? If I upgrade to business account can I try to use the rewind proprerties? Thanks.
