I have a file that is usually able to be downloaded when given a link. However, in this case, I want to restrict that permission. I know you can enable and disable downloads on a view only file when copying/creating a share link.
However, I have tried copying a link with 'Disable downloads" ON but I find that when I enable downloads again, it effects the permissions on the link I copied prior. Is there a way to share a file that can't be downloaded, regardless of the "view only" download permissions?

Currently, there isn't an option to create two shared links for the same file.
You'd need to have them as separate files, so that one file has the download option, and the other doesn't.

Hi @Coordinator2, thanks for messaging the Community!
Could you clarify what is happening in this instance? Are you referring to two shared links to files, and changing the setting on the second link affects the first?
Or, are you wanting to change the permission of a link, but have the original URL unchanged?
This will help me assist further!

Thanks for your response!
I suppose it would be the former. Essentially, I would want two shared links for the same file -- One that gives the option to download and one that doesn't.
