You can try looking in your appstore for a dropbox app and log into your account. Another way could be to right click on the file, under "dropbox" select " copy dropbox link", and send it to yourself via email. 😁 It seems a bit weird but that's how I got different information between devices. And it works. You can send emails to the very email you are sending them WITH.

From within the Dropbox app on your tablet, mark files as Available Offline and they'll be downloaded to your tablet. You'll be able to open them from within the Dropbox app, even when you're not connected to the Internet.

but why can't i just download a pdf to attach it to an email...as a separate file?  why? "make available offline" does not make the file attachable or searchable even.  you can't download a pdf to you phone, open it in acrobat, comment, and then email to someone... it has to be a link to open in a browser in desktop mode then download...why make users go to the extra effort.

why?

Hi @bicameral2, you can export a file from your Dropbox account to other apps on your device, if they're supported.

There isn't a need to create a shared link, since the actual file will be attached in the app you export it to.
