How can I improve my syncing speed if I've already set the bandwidth to "Don't Limit"?

Explorer | Level 4

My DropBox is downloading at less than 1KB/sec. I have set my bandwith under settings to "no limit", and I have very good business internet speed/quality. Why is this happening and/or what can I do to speed things up?

Hey @maxemoose, thanks for getting in touch with us on the Community for advice! 
 
Kindly note that we’ve discussed this topic in more depth in the past (eg. here, here & here), however each setup is unique. You’re definitely on the right path adjusting the desktop app settings, however I’m wondering whether you’ve monitored that previously &/or seen any change. 
 
Please keep me updated on your findings & we’ll go from there!

@Jane - Thanks for your reply. One thing I should add: my DropBox was working fine for a long time...but recently my firm upgraded its anti-virus software (Kaspersky) and it recommended I update DropBox. I followed the applicable links, and when DropBox updated - for whatever reason it didn't recognize that I already had a file location set up, and set up an entirely new file path and made me re-sync tens of thousands of files.

This happened to many of my coworkers, and I think this is an issue that DB needs to look into. 

Also - Jane - all the links you posted were regarding upload speeds, my issue is regarding download speeds. I have very fast business internet that has no problem downloading large files in seconds. I believe this issue is unique to DB.

As you’ve already diagnosed that on your end & you’ve deducted that this happens only with Dropbox, I’d like to determine the best next steps based on your findings & put that to the attention of a team specialist if needed. 
 
Would it be okay if I created a ticket on our system on your behalf, in order to focus on that a bit closer?
