How can I make total backups?
Simply put.... you cant.... that isnt what Dropbox is designed for. The only work around I can think of would be finding some software that can save to Dropbox for you.
However, while you could in theory put all your files from the MacBooks on to Dropbox they'd literally be the files - there would be no way you could restore from the backups and have a working Mac again.
