How can I recover a file that I'm missing from my account?

One day I have noticed that in one of the dropbox folder is missing my excel file. I was searching it everywhere and it was gone. What shoud I do to restore my file? It was very importent file to me. Has anyone that kind of problem before?

ok, but it was about half a year ago, so this way not gonna work :(
is there any other way to solve this mystery dropbox lost?

Hi @Milosz Z, I just wanted to mention that, as the article that @Rich mentions, you can recover a deleted file within the last:

  • 30 days if you're on a Basic or Plus account. 
  • 180 days if you're on a Professional and Business account. 

If the file was deleted outside of that period, I'm afraid there's not much we can do.
