How can I return to using Explorer to navigate my files?

New member | Level 2
New member | Level 2

With the recent layout/update, I cant view all of my files the way  I used to. Within my PC, In File Explorer. I see the picture of the File Folder to temporarily view it that way but how do I set that tab as my default so every time I open DropBox, it opens in File Explorer?. Im in and out of it all day and have to press that button every single time.

Thanks for the images, this is the new Dropbox desktop application.

You can return to using Explorer by changing the option here.

Hope this helps!

Hi @Realtor007, thanks for joining the Community!

In order to understand what you’re describing, could you forward a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

If you have one, a screenshot of an example of how you’d like your folders to be viewed in Explorer would also help.

Thanks!

Classic Version

Is there any way I can go back to the classic version of dropbox? I hate this update I got. I'm a simple person I don't need updated features. I don't care about sharing or syncing. I'm so use to copy and pasting my files over to dropbox and having them rewrite. Now I noticed I have four copies of one file. Why can't they just rewrite?

Thanks

Hey @papapapuffyAY, thanks for reaching out to us here!

I've just moved your post here so that I can point you in the right direction.

You can change the default back to your file browser with the steps Jay linked in the accepted solution here.

Let me know if you have any trouble with this!

Hi @papapapuffyAY, once you’ve made the change in the Preferences page, it would become the default for that machine, and you won’t need to be change it again.
