How can I type #something without it turning into a hashtag?

How can I type #something without it turning into a hashtag?

New member | Level 2

Hi there! I have a specific need to type into an article a word preceeded with a hashtag, but every time I do so it turns it into a blue hashtag link. Is there any way to write #<sometext> without it automatically turning it into a hashtag - like an escape character?

Thanks!

Hey

Not as far as I know.

You could put it in a code block (```) followed by hashtag and text, but I don't know another way.

That said, creating a hashtag doesn't really do much to the doc (aside from making it blue, and giving a search anchor).
