I have just subscribed to Dropbox Plus with a one off annual payment with the express requirement of uploading 4,500 photos from my iPad to free memory.
It now appears having tried to do so that I can only do this selecting one photo at a time which will take hours.
I am sure this can't possibly be correct. Can you please advise me.
Hey there @Alec13 - how are you today?
From what I understand you're trying to upload multiple files from your iPad to Dropbox, correct me if I'm wrong please.
Can you please check if you're on the latest version of our mobile app (Version 146.2) for iOS devices as this option should be there?
You can upload multiple photos / videos from within the Dropbox mobile app by following the instructions provided below:
You can select as many files as you'd like to upload them together!
If you have additional questions about how to do this, you can see this article:
In case you'd like to enable the automatic camera uploads feature on this device, please take a look at the following article:
I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you for your quick response.
I have the latest mobile app version.
I tap the "+" button
I change to the file where I have located the photos all together for quick upload.
I then appear to be left with no option but to select every one of the 4,812 photos individually in order to upload them, as there is no "select all" option.
Once again I am sure this cannot be correct if the Dropbox photo storage process is in anyway supposed to be quick and efficient to use. Do please advise.
I was just testing this out and I can see a 'Select all' option when uploading files via this method @Alec13 - can you send me a screenshot of what exactly is appearing on your screen?
You only get a "select all" option at the top level "Camera Roll" level. I do not wish to export the entire contents of the Camera Roll just those I have selected to export ( in this instance within the "Favourites" folder. This does not give that "Select All " option.
( I have inserted blank photos for the purpose )
Sorry to hear about this @Alec13.
May I reach out to your Dropbox associated email address so we can have a further look into this?
In the meantime, as you know, you can tap on more than one files to upload them at one go - maybe in small batches since they're quite a lot?
Do you happen to have those files available to a computer perhaps?
Let me know here and we'll take it from there.
you may "reach out" as you propose.
As you know the files are located on the iPad which is why the problem has arisen. It is because I do not want to tap individually on 4,812 photos in small batches which will take hours that I am raising the issue.
I look forward to hearing from you.
I just did @Alec13 !
Take a look at your inbox and we'll take it from there.
