How do I save all my Drop box files to a USB without opening every file and downloading them? This will take hours if I do this. I am running out of room for my Dropbox and would like top back them up on a USB or external hardrive

Unless you have the client installed from www.dropbox.com/install which will download everything to your computer in to the 'Dropbox folder' there is no way of doing it bar clicking on them and downloading

Save them to the USB stick as you would any other file - either from the Dropbox folder or download from website. Use suitable software on the computer to burn them to a cd/dvd.

I downloaded my dropbox file to my iphone 6 camera roll. Much faster. Then plugged the phone to my computer and downloaded the file to imovie or any other applicable app then saved it to desktop for filing. Took  a few minutes.

Dropboxer
Hey @Adje21

Thanks for posting this query on the Dropbox Community!

Please keep in mind that we don't currently support Dutch on the Community, though I'd be glad to discuss that in English.

As per your query:

How to get the files in Dropbox on the laptop to a usb stick

Please keep in mind that Dropbox folder is just a regular folder on your computer, therefore it has all available functionalities on your OS. To put your files on your usb, just right-click on the files you’d like to transfer on your desktop, choose the Copy” option from the menu that appears and then Paste” on the preferred location (F:\, G:\, etc. ).

Hope this is helpful to you! If you need more assistance on that, just let me know in your reply.

Warm regards,
JaneA
