How to Select All Files at Once in Dropbox iOS/iPadOS App ?

Inside a folder where I have multiple files, I see a select icon on the upper right corner of screen but when I tapped I don't see any select all button. This means I have to tick on every single file until the end. It is an unforgiven painful. Tap and slide on files to select multiple files (like in Files/Photos stock App) also does not work. Can't believe Dropbox Team overlooks such a very basic fucntion. Anyone knows how to ?

Hi @GoLfWRC; thanks for using Dropbox!

I couldn't find a better way to do this apart from the one you mentioned while you could also use the integration with the Files app to see if that improves matters.

On a side note, since you'd like to select all the files within a folder, you could navigate your folder structure and select the folder instead; this should have a similar effect to the task at hand.

I know it's not much, but I hope this helps!

Thanks Walter for a feedback. I know I can use Dropbox with Files App intergration but in this moment (as of iPadOS14), Files App still does not play well on any other 3rd party cloud storage provider (Dropbox included). Sometimes file does not get downloaded/uploaded or file lost in some cases (I have lost a few files while doing this). So I think Apple is the one to be blamed in this case. On a flip side, Dropbox itself also needs to be refined to cover a basic select all function. Also selecting folder instead of selecting all files is not what I wanted since I want to export files to other apps intead of folder (as iOS core does not support folder exporting). Anyway, thanks for a message once again.

Thanks for the additional notes @GoLfWRC!

We do have a request for a similar functionality in our dedicated area of the Community here. I could suggest adding your vote there so that our team can gather the feedback on this more effectively.

Sorry that I can't be of much more help with that, but please do let me know if you have any questions. Cheers!
