When I click Files an item appears that has the Windows flag icon. I don't know where it came from. The Ellipsis for it does not list the delete function. How can I get rid of it?
Hi @Kenneth C.2; thanks for posting on our Community and happy Monday!
Can you try clearing your browser's cache and/or another browser and let me know if you're still getting the same results?
Thanks!

There is an item in my list of files that I did not put there and which the normal deletion commands will not remove. I do not think this is an ordinary event and it needs the attention of a technical support specialist. How can I open a ticket where I put the specific details.
Hey there @Kenneth C.2, I saw you made a similar post a few months back.
Did you have the chance to check out Walter's suggestion?
Also, out of curiosity, does this happen to be a folder (or a file within a folder) called "My PC/My Mac"?
Let me know - I'd be happy to help out!

It is a folder rather than a file as I previously said. When I click on it another folder appears and when I click on it there is one item inside of it. It says Downloads, Click here to desvribe this folderand turn it into a Space
The name of the outside folder is My PC (KCAV-NB4) which is a name I gave to a PC I no longer use. Inside there is another folder named Downloads and it has the date and time 10/10/20 9:21 am. Click on it and the word Downlods appears. There is the outline of a square box with lihgtly color dashes Inside the box it says "Drag files and folders here to add"
I do not place these folders here and I have not beenable to get rid of them. I see no connection between the folders and my browser.
Hello Daphne
After posting a reply online I decided to write to you because your reply was very thoughtful. This matter has been irritating. I don1t know how this item got into my private account, and it has taken awhile to find where to ask my question. I did follow-up on Walter`s reply and I found no connection to my browser. I would apprecaite it if you got a technical support worker to deleted this item from my account.
Thanks

Thanks for getting back to me here @Kenneth C.2, we might have found the root cause here.
The My PC folder is created when the computer backup feature is enabled through the desktop app.
In this case, as the feature is actively backing up and syncing some folders on your computer, there is no option to delete this folder (or the contents).
What we'll need to do is disable the computer backup first. You should be able to identity which computer this was enabled on as the "My PC" folder has the device name in brackets.
Please follow the steps outlined towards the bottom of this article, and in step 6, choose to keep the files on your computer instead of in Dropbox.
This should remove the content of the folder from Dropbox automatically for you. Once you've done this, and ensured the app shows "up to date" again, please check if the folder still appears online.
If it does, please try deleting the folder once more from your account.

Hello Daphne,
The computer the entry refers has died. I have connected to Dropbox using different computers and the entry shows up irregardless of which computer I use. The entry is on Dropbox website.
