How to delete uploading files?

Explorer | Level 3

I was working in the side bar in Internet Explorer and accidentally drug a very large folder into dropbox.  How do I delete those pending files?  I have a very slow internet connection, so I don't want to wait for them to upload to delete them.

Hi there @rk24, thanks for reaching out.

Could you let me know if you dragged the folder to your local Dropbox folder or did you do it through the website?

Let me know what you find, cheers!

It was through the folder, not the website.

Thanks!

Thanks for confirming @rk24!

Since they were dragged into the local Dropbox folder, you can just move this folder to another location on your computer (outside of the Dropbox folder), or back to the original location on your computer.

Dropbox will no longer need to sync the files, but will sync the deletion of any of the files that had been uploaded in the meantime.

Let me know if this helps!

I thought about that, but they are in my One Drive folder.  If I move the original folder then I will have to wait for them to reupload in One Drive.   It's about 500 pictures, so it will take a long time on my slow internet connection.   I thought there would be an easy way to cancel the upload.

Thanks!
