How to move caret to the end of the document (Mac)

New member | Level 2
New member | Level 2

I use the End key all the time to continue a document easily, and it moves to the bottom of the document, but doesn't move the caret, so I have to click.

Very nitpicky, I know, but could you guys make the end key also move the caret to last position in the doc? Then I could just open a paper doc and start typing at the end straight away.
And I guess the same with the Home key (move caret to first position in document).

Cheers

EDIT: The End key is not always for this purpose, it's ususally to move caret to the end of the line. To get to the bottom of the doc is CMD + Down on Mac and this is fine for me.

What's the exact combination you're using @jhomulos ?

I was just able to use the Command button and the right arrow to go to the end of the line my cursor was on and Command + down arrow to go to the end of the doc (again with the cursor highlighted so you're free to continue typing directly.

Let me know your findings!

Hey there @JezPez - thanks for using Paper!

I'm not sure if this will work for you, but, have you tried CTRL+END instead of END alone?

I'm just saying because I use this shortcut all the time and it brings me to the end of my Paper docs where I can continue typing with no problem as this will move the cursor too; thus enabling you to keep writing directly at the end of your doc.

If this is caused by your browser by any chance, I'd suggest using another browser (or an incognito window).

I hope this helps and let me know if I'm missing something here.

@Walter I think this might just be an issue on Mac, but I've noticed that the END key in Paper brings me to the end of the Paper doc when I'd expect it to take me to the end of the current line.
