How to remove files connected to a old device if device is not linked

How to remove files connected to a old device if device is not linked

Hi,

I had a computer, which I linked to my Dropbox account and synced files from computer desktop, etc. to Dropbox. This computer creashed and is not working anymore, but synced folders are still on Dropbox and cannot be deleted. If I delete them from other linked device, they reappear back and in web there is no option to delete these files. This device is also not listed under Devices is Security settings.

Can anyone help me how to get rid of those folder?

Good message is that files inside the folders can be deleted, but folders still remain.

Hi @maternus, thanks for providing these details!

If you can't delete the folder itself, then it means it should still be linked via the site.

Are you certain you're not seeing the device linked on this page

Could you attach a screenshot showing this so we can assist further?

DESKTOP-U2NT6MB is not listed in devices. Note: I have by mistake created some copies of the original folder, therefore the folder is there three times.
