How to retrieve folders uploaded to Dropbox from PC.

I don't know if anybody else has experienced this. 

I downloaded the app to my pc for a college class. Upon installation, all of my desktop documents were downloading to the Dropbox cloud.  (Wasnt trying to upload everything) So I had decided to just delete the app and use the web version. When i uninstalled it, my documents were deleted from PC.

How can I retrieve them back to my PC? 

Has this happened to anybody else??

When you installed Dropbox, you activated the computer backup feature, which relocated your Desktop, Documents and Downloads folders into your Dropbox folder.

Hi @pablom786, thanks for messaging today!

Uninstalling the app while having computer backup enabled wouldn't delete your local files.

Could you check to see if there is still a Dropbox folder on your machine which contains the missing files?

Keep me updated with any progress!
