I am unfamiliar with using Dropbox - need a little guidance please

My husband has a 2 TB account with Dropbox....it is our intention that I have limited access to certain files and folders, without having to make further payment.

We thought that we had initiated this arrangement (for my access to chosen files and folders without added payment)...but I keep received messages from Dropbox telling me that I am reaching my storage limit and soon will not be able to "synchronise".

Neither my husband nor myself are familiar enough with the functioning of the Dropbox system to understand what is the best way forward - we wish to retain my husband 2TB account, with me having access only (no editing) of selected file/folders.

I hope this explanation provides sufficient information for a suitable solution to be suggested.

Any assistance would be gratefully received, many thanks.

Kind regards ViH

Hi @ViH

If you have them stored in your account and updating in your account in realtime you need to have enough quota to do so - hence the messages you are getting.

However, if you can cope with clicking on a link and viewing files as you need them ask him to create you some Shared links by following https://help.dropbox.com/files-folders/share/view-only-access
