I backed up my folders in Dropbox, but now they're changed to .ink files. Why is that?

New member | Level 2

Hello Everyone! I just wanted to ask a question. I needed some storage space on my laptop so I backed up my folders on Dropbox. When I came to open it I noticed that it was changed into a .ink file and couldn't longer be retrieved. So does that mean that the folder I spent years on just got unopenable just because of a stupid software? I would really appreciate it if someone helped me and Thanks In Advance.

Hello @Sivor, I'm sorry to hear about that!

Dropbox wouldn't change the file type of your files, do you possibly have another app on your device that uses this file type?

Would you mind sending along a screenshot (excluding any personal info) of this change too, just to make sure we're on the same page?

Let me know - thanks!
